OLD TOWN - Today I lost my best friend, my husband, my heart. He left before I could say goodbye or how much I truly loved him. I will say it now, " I will always, always love you." Till we meet again...Love Me.
Robert P. Irvine (Bob to all who knew him) sadly passed away, unexpectedly on January 15, 2016. He was born in Houlton, March 9, 1943 the son of George and Geneva (Gagnon) Irvine. Bob joined the U.S. Army in 1961 graduating from the U. S. Army Aircraft Maintenance School Ft. Rucker, Alabama. After his enlistment he returned to Maine and joined the Maine Army National Guard Aviation Facility as a technician for 20 years. He then joined the Maine Forrest Service Aviation Dept. at the Old Town Airport retiring in 2007. He is survived by his loving wife, best friend and hunting buddy, Janna Marie Irvine of Old Town. The highlight and most memorable of their hunting trips was the 2015 Moose Hunt in New Sweden with dear friends.
Also surviving one daughter Penny Malenfant and her husband Michael of Old Town; son Daniel Irvine of Brewer; step daughter Amee' Ciarrocchi; nieces Yvonne Higgins and great niece Kayla Higgins; two grandsons Adam and Cody Malenfant; two grand daughters Emily and Abigail Irvine and one sister Rhonda Higgins of Lisbon Falls. Bob was predeceased by his parents and one sister Janice Fisher. Bob was an avid outdoorsman deer hunting with Keith Sr., Jr., Kyle, Dan and Larry at camp in East Corinth. He enjoyed ice fishing at his camp at West Lake also known as Propeller Point where he and Janna enjoyed many days together. Friends may call at the Greenlawn Memorial Funeral Home 300 State St., Bangor, Wednesday 4-7 p.m. with services following at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Stevens of the United Baptist Church of Old Town officiating.
