VAN BUREN & SEBRING, FL - Rita L. Beaulieu, 90, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in Sebring, FL. She was born January 4, 1924 in Van Buren, a daughter of the late Martin and Clara (Ouellette) Levasseur.

She raised her family with her husband, Emile, in Van Buren. She worked as the bookkeeper for her husband's company, former Suburban Appliances, for many years. Upon retiring in 1972, they relocated to Florida with their daughter Karen and their son Allen. She was a member of the Lionettes Club, the Daughters of Isabella, Van Buren, a former member of Business Professional Women, and was very active in the Van Buren community. One of her favorite things to do was travel, especially trips to visit Van Buren and California.

She is survived by: 3 children, Joyce Levesque and her husband Roger of Van Buren, Dick Beaulieu and his fiancé Kinga Brandstatter of Lake Placid, FL, and Karen Osgood and her husband Howard of Sebring, FL; a step-daughter, Renee Ouellette and her husband Jim of Sun City, FL; two sisters, Jeanne Cormier of Van Buren and Dorothy Dube of Plainfield, CT; a brother, Roland Levasseur of Woonsocket, RI; four grandchildren, Brian, Jeffrey, Nicole & Adam; four step grandchildren, Tammy, Gail, Brian & Sandra; one great granddaughter, McKenna; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Emile Beaulieu in 1976, a son Allen in 1993 and a brother Gilman Levasseur.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Thursday morning, 9—10:30 AM at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, ME 04785. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
