MAXFIELD - Richard Dugans, 91, husband of the late Millicent (Veino) Dugans, passed away June 11, 2015, at a Howland healthcare facility. He was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Maxfield, the son of Earl and Evelyn (Burke) Dugans. Richard was a World War II veteran and returned from the war to spend the rest of his life in Maxfield where he worked mainly at farming. He was devoted to the care of his wife for five years prior to her death in 1999.
He is survived by a brother Hughie Dugans and his wife Robena; a special niece Nancy Spencer and her husband Winfield; several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers Derwood and Elwood.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Maxfield Cemetery with the Rev. Angelia Fowler officiating. Those who wish may sign an online register and leave written condolences at www.clayfuneralhome.com.
