I met Reno in the fall of 1970 at the University of Maine in Orono. We were both residents of Dunn Hall. Our friendship continued for 48 years, with occasional visits,
greeting cards, and phone calls. I will always treasure our friendship.

"Uncle" Reno, we will miss you on this earth but rest assured that God will reward you for the many kind deeds done on earth for countless people. Your unwavering commitment to visiting the home bound elderly residents in Van Buren and your showering them and others with your home baked chocolate chip cookies, donuts and baked breads was always appreciated. We will truly miss your loving friendship and your welcoming greetings whenever we arrived in Van Buren. Your thoughtfulness and love for our children and grandchildren will always be cherished. We thank the good LORD for our 55 plus years of friendship and will always cherish the memories of your presence at our family gatherings shared ...with you at our homes, as well as our frequent trips to Presque Isle at your favorite eatery to enjoy a pepperoni pizza with strawberry soda at Pat's Pizza.Read more
