- Reginald John Poulin, age 65, of Augusta, died Nov. 15, 2017, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. He was born in Lincoln, ME, on Dec. 6, 1951, the son of Lucien Poulin and Gilda (St. Thomas) Poulin.
Reggie worked many years on the railroad for Canadian Pacific Rail as a brakeman and Maine Coast Rail and Safe Handling as a Track Man. He was known as the "go to Man" on the job.
Reggie was a kind, lovable man who always had a big smile on his face. He enjoyed listening to music, swapping stories by the campfire with family and friends, spending time with his grandbabies, loved playing pool and was always up for a competitive game. He will forever be missed by all.
He was a member of St. Michael Parish and former vice-president and fifteen-year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Augusta.
He is survived by sons, Adam, his wife, Monica, and their children, Levi and Axel of Sidney, and Reginald and daughter, Mallory of Augusta; significant other and "sweetie," Linda Beane and her children, Noreen and Kevin Boucher of Readfield, Jesse and Susan Beane of Minot, Troy Beane of Chelsea, Sallie Beane of Vassalboro; Sarah Beane and Chad Jackson of Plantsville, CT; siblings, Bernadette and Cliff Andrus of Southington, CT, Janelle and Samuel Gath of Winslow, Marita and Mike Nutter of West Enfield, Carmela and Lyn Thompson of China, and Juliet and Terry Guimond of Howland; special friends, Carol Bernier and Pat Coulombe, both of Augusta, and Clarence "Sonny" York of Warren; and several grandchildren he just adored.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Michael, Norman and David Poulin; and nephews, Luke Thompson and Michael Poulin.
He had two large and very supportive families.
There are no planned visiting hours. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Western Avenue, Augusta. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Townsend Road, Augusta.
