Caribou and Fort Kent - Real Pelletier, 92, died peacefully with family by his side on January 8, 2017 at a Caribou Health Care Facility. He was born, in New Canada, September, 28, 1924, the son of Irenie and Edith (Daigle) Pelletier.
Real worked on his farm for many years and later for S.A.D. #27 as a bus driver, Real served his country in the US Army W W II. He was a Life member of the VFW Lozier O'Grady Post #9609, American Legion Martin-Klien Post #133 both of Fort Kent.
He is survived by his seven children; Claude and wife Deana Pelletier of Flowermound, TX. , Maurice and wife Gail Pelletier of Hendersonville, NC., Louise Pelletier of Wilbraham, Mass. Jacqueline and husband Bruce Pelletier of Presque Isle, Me. , Bernadette and husband Jeffrey Seifert of Bedford, NH., Leon and wife Jean Pelletier of Surfside Beach, SC., Andrew and wife Johonna Pelletier of Baldwinsville, NY. , He is also survived by his sister Fernande Pelletier MD. of Ghana, Africa. Many grandchildren, great-grandchidlren, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by his special companion, Rita Perreault of Wallagrass.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Marthe Morin Pelletier in 1970 and a son-in-law Michael Hogan in 2015, and two brothers, Leonard and Jerry Pelletier both of Fort Kent.
Friends may call Friday January 13, 2017 from 9 until time of service at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors will be celebrated 11 am Friday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, spring burial will be held in the Holy Family Cemetery, New Canada.

The family would like to extend a sincere and heart felt thank you to the staff of the Caribou VA Home for there compassionate care and kindness they gave Real throughout the years he was there.
