- Paul C. Lizotte, Sr., 82, went to Heaven on December 16, 2017 at home in Hampden where he lived for over 50 years surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born November 25, 1935 in Fort Kent the son of Leo and Azelda (Long) Lizotte of Bangor.
He always enjoyed a game of 31 where he wouldn't look at his cards, then knocked, and would win every time. He also enjoyed spending his time outside whether it was tending to his garden, cutting wood, or spending time with his family. He was always up for a good game of horseshoes, liked to bowl, and he also enjoyed playing softball with us kids in the back field.
During his lifetime he worked in many shoe shops in the Bangor area until he retired in 2000.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years Mary (Powers) Lizotte of Hampden, Karen and Dean Lufkin of Dixmont, Marcia and Tim Young of Veazie, Paul Lizotte Jr. of Hampden, and James and Melissa Lizotte of Brooks. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, 11 Grandchildren, and 17 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Rena Labbe of Eagle Lake and Billy Lizotte of Glenburn. He will be sadly missed by his two dogs Shelby and Brandi. He will be deeply missed by a Great Grandson Adam Young of Ellsworth who he adored with all his heart. He is also survived by a very special friend Kim Williams of Hampden who helped my mom with his care.
He is predeceased by his parents Leo and Azelda (Long) Lizotte, a sister Bertha Parent of Bangor, and a brother Reynold Lizotte of Hampden.
There will be a Celebration of Life, Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the Hampden Snowmobile Club, 844 Western Ave., in Hampden, ME 04444 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Beacon Hospice, 289 State Street, Suite B, Bangor, Maine.
