HANCOCK - Patricia B. Hodgkins, 74, wife of Herbert O. Hodgkins, died Friday, September 19, 2014.

She was born in Tennessee on September 4, 1940, the daughter of Dean and Marion (Ladner) Bailey.

She grew up in Sidney, where she greatly enjoyed being in the 4-H Club and attended Waterville High School. She graduated from Husson College, class of 1962. Patricia lived in Hancock since 1963. She taught business education classes at Sumner High School for 11 years and she was bookkeeper for the family businesses, Tidal Falls Lobster Pound and Seal Point Seafoods and co-owner of Lobster Products Incorporated. She was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Maine Lobster Pound Owners Association. Patricia was very involved in the Hancock community. She was a past president and treasurer of the Hancock Woman's Club, Treasurer of the Riverside Cemetery Association, a member of the Hancock Monument Lot Committee, Hancock School Board member, she and her husband were awarded Citizens of the Year in 1993, and she truly enjoyed her Friday afternoon meetings with the Hancock Stitch'n Bitch Club.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 51 years, Herbert three children, Susan Neleski and her husband John of Vine Grove, Kentucky, Victoria Bollinger and her husband, James of Dayton, Maine and Daniel Hodgkins and his wife Jennifer of Hancock. Three grandchildren, Christen and Derek Neleski, and Deegan Hodgkins. A brother, Frank Bailey and his wife Doreen of Franklin, Massachusetts, a very dear uncle Manley (Joe) Bailey and his wife Lucille of Linconville, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be held, 2:00PM, Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth with Reverend Phil Devinish officiating. The family encourages wearing bright colors.
