Patricia was devoted to her family. Some of the things she enjoyed were holidays, knitting, farming, African Violets, and most of all her grandchildren.
She worked as a beautician, CNA and hospice worker, meeting new people and helping them in their homes brought her much joy. She was very proud of her CNA and hospice work.
She is survived by her four daughters; Stephanie Black of Brooksville, Heidi Judkins and husband Warren of Deer Isle, Stacey Black and companion Joe Bloom of Brooksville and Heather Black and companion Randy Astbury of Sedgwick, grandchildren; Samantha, Sarah, Matthew and Mariah, great-grandchildren; Juliet, Carson and Rose. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Ernest Black.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Island Nursing home for Pat's gentle and compassionate care. The staff and residents were family to her.
Services will be private for family at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Bucksport.
"When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set on me. I want no rites in a gloom-filled room, why cry for a soul set free. Miss me a little, but not too long, and not with your heads bowed low. Remember the love we once shared. Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take, and each must go alone. It's all part of the Master's plan. A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me, but let me go."
