Norma McCrum, 88, passed away Saturday July 23, 2016, at her residence. She was born September 8, 1927, in Blaine, the daughter of Arthur and Irma (Chase) Terrell.

Norma grew up in E. Plantation and went to Aroostook Central Institute. She then married the love of her life, Bertram McCrum, November 20, 1946. Norma worked alongside Bert on the family farm and together raised three children, Graydon, Galen and Ethelyn. She also worked for twenty years as a cook at the Northern Maine Technical College. Norma was a very loving lady who never missed a birthday or any other special occasion that was to be recognized. Norma had a passion for gardening, berrying, canning and cooking, especially for others. She was also a longtime member of the United Baptist Church of Mars Hill.

Norma is survived by her loving husband of seventy years, Bertram McCrum; three children, Graydon McCrum of Fort Fairfield, Galen McCrum and his wife, Becky, of Canton, GA, and Ethelyn Boyd and her husband, Fred, of Mars Hill; ten grandchildren, Jon McCrum and his wife, Melissa, of Mars Hill, Tim McCrum and his wife, Amy, of Bangor, Ryan MacNaughton and his wife, Kate, of Clermont, FL, Brandon McCrum and his wife, Molly, of Concord, NH, Brooke Browning and her husband, Mick, of Fort Fairfield, Todd McCrum and his wife, Michelle, of Cumming, GA, Leslie Prince and her husband, Brad, of Cumming, GA, Ryan McCrum and his wife, Cindy, of Avon Lake, OH, Jennifer Whitcomb and her husband, Wayne, of Monroe and Aaron Boyd and his wife, Jessica, of Hermon; and twenty five great-grandchildren. She also will be remembered by a daughter-in-law, Bonnie McCrum of Mars Hill; three sisters-in-law, Marjorie Terrell of Blaine, Priscilla Phillips and her husband, Mike, of Westfield and Earlene Duruttya and her husband, Andy, of Hummelstown, PA; a "special sister-in-law," Marjorie Bainbridge and her husband, Clarence, of Clermont, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews. There are also many athletes and FFA members from Central Aroostook High School who thought of Bert and Norma as grandparents. Bert would often drive the bus to many events and Norma as always was by his side. She always had cookies and other items she baked, a great smile and a warm heart for all the kids. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five siblings, Charles Terrell, Kathleen Griffin, Rowena Grass, Jake Terrell and Greta Terrell; and a daughter-in-law, Jo-Ann McCrum.
