Bangor - Norma Jean Boutilier, 77, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017, at her residence after a long illness due to an uncommon neurodegenerative disease. Norma was born on January 3, 1940, in Houlton, the daughter of Raymond W. and Mary (Bither) Webb. She graduated from Houlton High School with the class of 1958.
She was married to Garfield "Boot" Boutilier for fifty-eight years. They have two sons. Norma's greatest joy in life was her family, she was an excellent cook and took pride in preparing wonderful meals and entertaining friends and family. In her retirement years she enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motor home and visited all of the continental United States. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Lunar Chap. #126 Order of the Eastern Star.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Garfield of Bangor, her two sons and their wives, Garfield "Rick" and his wife Sharon of Lake Barrington, IL, and Mark and his wife Jodie of Flower Mound, TX. She also has six grandchildren Matthew and Kevin of Madison, WI, Christopher of Chico, CA, Brendan of Lake Barrington, IL, Abbie and Paige of Flower Mound, TX. Norma's surviving siblings are her brother Peter Webb and his wife Marie of Stetson, her brother Raymond Webb, and his wife Linda of Dedham and her sister Jane Webb Weston and her husband Charles of Hampden, many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Norma also leaves behind former sister-in-law Donna King of Bangor, brother-in-law Robert Boutilier and his wife Ellie of Jacksonville, FL, and many friends at Sunbury Villiage in Bangor and Holiday Out Park in Jensen Beach, FL.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Eastern Maine and caregivers of Caring Companions and Premier Health Care for their support and loving care of Norma throughout this difficult time. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Interment will be at the Linneus Cemetery in the family lot, Linneus. Memorial gifts may be made in her memory to: CurePSP, 30 E.
