Patten - Myron C. Baldwin, 62, peacefully passed November 3, 2016. Myron was born to John D. and Ruey S. Baldwin in Mapleton, Maine on April 16, 1954.
The family moved to New Hampshire when Myron was one. He graduated from Littleton High School in Littleton, NH in 1972. He joined the Air Force December 20, 1976. During his service years he met and married Carol Castic and together they raised two wonderful children, Matthew Thomas Baldwin and Elizabeth Ruey Baldwin. September 1, 1992 he was honorably discharged with the rank of Master Sargent after almost 16 years of service. His decorations include a Meritorious Service Medal with 2 devices, an AF Commendation Medal with two devices, an AF Outstanding Unit Award, an AF Good Conduct Medal with 4 devices, a National Defense Service Medal, an AF Overseas Short Tour Ribbon, and an AF Longevity Service Award Ribbon. After graduating from University of Maine in 1995 with a degree in forestry, Myron and his family moved to Patten, Maine where he worked for Huber Resources Corporation and then for Hannington & Sons. Tragically, Carol died April 22, 2002.
In 2012, Myron met Yvonne Roy during services at Hammond Street Congregational Church in Bangor, Maine. They were married in that same church on July 13, 2013. They had 4 years to love and enjoy one another.
Myron was predeceased by his mother and his father; by Carol his wife; and his four-legged friend and co-worker, Sage. He is survived by his lovely wife, Yvonne; his son Matthew and grandchildren, Mekayla and Severian of Orono; his daughter Elizabeth and her husband, Corey Bell of Monticello; his sister Ruey (R.M.) and her husband Ken Yehle of Hampden; and various nieces and nephews. He was "Grandpop" to 7 of Yvonne's grandchildren.
A celebration of Myron's life will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Hammond Street Congregational Church in Bangor with a reception following the service.
