- Milan A. Powell of Kenduskeag died at his home on Friday, November 24, 2017. He was born on April 25, 1934, in Dickinson, New York, the son of Ava and Edgar Powell.
Milan moved to Maine in 1981 after retiring from New York. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his yard work. In his later years, he was active in several ATV clubs with his wife.
Milan is survived by his children and their spouses, Dawn (Powell) Lott, Rory Wood, Gregory Powell, Tonya (Powell) McLaughlin, and David Powell; grandchildren, Shane, Brandi, Ashley, Laurel, Emily, Chad, Justin, Jesse, Cody, Samantha, and his sister, Hilda (Powell) Hemmerling.
Milan was predeceased by his wife, Jolene (Russell), of 50 years; his parents, Ava (Baker) and Edgar Powell; and his siblings, Lois, Joyce, Althea, Jay, Iris and Edgar.
Family will have committal for Jolene and Milan on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday May 26th, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Wytopitlock.
