MADAWASKA AND TUCSON, AZ - Mike Richard Daigle, 76, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2015. He was born on July 12, 1939 and lived in Madawaska most of his life.

Mike is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Lisette Pelletier, originally of Edmundston, New Brunswick. He also leaves behind two sons, James of Lubbock, Texas and Steve of Tucson, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Emile Daigle and mother Lorette Chasse.

Mike worked at Fraser Paper Company for many years. He was the pitcher for the Edmundston Republicans and was known as "The Man With The Golden Arm." He later played baseball for Cabano. Being an only child, he considered the members of his support group as his family. In Alcoholics Anonymous, he turned his life around and was always present to listen with his heart and help many people like him who needed help. He and his wife moved to Tucson, in 2008, where he was always impressed by the beauty of the majestic mountains, the amazing sunsets and the beautiful weather. He will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial Mass will take place in Madawaska at a later date, with burial to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
