- Michael Morneault Sr., 66, passed away on December 08, 2017, at a Scarborough health care facility. He was born in Eagle Lake on April 17, 1951, a son of the late Ronaldo and Rita (Albert) Morneault.
Michael was the founder of the band "High Fidelity" in which he shared many fond memories with his family and his "bebe". He was a 20-year veteran of the Maine Army National Guard and was a loving father, grandfather, and husband. Michael never stopped and loved working with his hands. He spent many hours renovating his home on his days off, when he wasn't working at UMFK.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Diane, of Fort Kent; one son, Michael Jr. and his wife, Nicole, of Saco; one daughter, Michelle of Madawaska; one grandson, Avery Michael; one granddaughter, Sophia Michelle; two brothers, Guy and his wife, Angela, of Fort Kent and Dana and his wife, Pamela, of Tennessee; two sisters, Joyce Viel and her husband, Leonard, of St. Francois, N.B, and Jeanne Morneault of Arlington, Tennessee; one brother-in-law, Michael Ouellette and his wife, Sharon, of Sicklerville, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent. Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home and from 9-11 a.m. on Thursday before the service.
