Mary's Story

BANGOR - Mary Katherine (Crain) Riling, wife of the late William G. Riling (1992) of Glenburn, passed away Jan. 30, 2015. She is daughter of the late Alphonsus (1975) and Louis (Richards) Crain (2012) of Bangor and Orono. She was predeceased by her dear brother and friend, Larry (Icabog) Crain (1989) of Bangor and a great-grandson, Jacob Michael Kinney (2002). Her hobbies were cross-stitching, word searches and going to the movie theater. Over the years she has enjoyed her friends: daughter-in-law, Leah, Barb, Mary and the late Arlene Francis. She loved getting presents at Christmas, birthdays and Mother's Day, she always looked forward to all.

She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law and 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-laws, Linda (Riling) Kinney and Max Kinney of Searsport, Lois (Riling) Clark and Elmer Clark Jr. of Bangor, William D. Riling and Peggy (Finley) Riling of Belfast, Alan G. Riling and Wanda (Holland) Riling of Levant, Kenneth J. Riling of Warren; 11 grandchildren, Tammi (Tripp) and Tony (Tripp) and Michael Kinney, Shannon, Ronnie, Keith and Buster Clark, Christopher and Heather Riling, Ashley (Riling) and Jacob Riling, and 18 great-grandchildren, Amber and Michael III. Mercedes, Devin, Matthew, Donald III, Sabrina and Piage, Philip, Candy and Justin, Devon, Isaiah, Jaton, Ava and Kaidan, Dylan and Elizah. Mom with a heavy heart we will miss you dearly. Nana you have always been a part of our lives we all love you so much and are going to miss you extremely. Greatnana we might not understand right now but when we do we will cherish the times we stayed with you and we will always hold dear those memories. From your daughter Lois thank you for the years we had together I will miss seeing your smiling face every morning and even though my heart is heavy I will always know you will be taken care of on the other side I bid you farewell until we meet again. Love and thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

In lieu of flowers, you can donate to the funeral expenses send to Lois Clark, 108 Langley St., Bangor, ME 04401 . All monies left will be donated to the Alzheimer's Research Fund for a cure. There will be a graveside service in the spring at the Augusta Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
