LINCOLN - Mary Lane, 101, wife of the late Harvey Lane, passed away April 2, 2014 at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born in 1913 in Bangor, the daughter of Fred and Mahala (Moore) Legere.
Mary taught private music lessons for many years. She was a founding member of the Daughters of Isabella and played the organ at St Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church for 65 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Rosemary Verrill of Port Charlotte, Florida; two grandsons, Mark Folsom of High Falls, NY, and William Folsom of New York City. She also leaves two special friends, Robin Strashum of New York City and Jessie Barker of Lincoln.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Clay Funeral Home. A High Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, with the Rev. Roger Cyr presiding. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Daughters of Isabella.
