- Marjorie M. Clukey, a woman who truly lived her faith, died January 22, 2018. She was 81. She was born January 13, 1937 in Dexter, Maine, the daughter of Louise and Reuben Smith, both now deceased. Marjorie married Galen J. Clukey in 1954 who predeceased her in 2009. After raising her two children, she worked at SAD#46 in the kitchen until her retirement. Marjorie was a member of the Corinna Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She always had a smile and kind word for everyone she came in contact with and was a pleasure to spend time with. Survivors include a son, Galen J. Clukey and his fiancée Lynne Haslam of Holden, a daughter Jewell and her husband Michael Konieczny of Corinna, as well as the pride and joy of her life, her granddaughter Cassandra and her husband Timmy Mitchell of Corinth. She is also survived by two siblings; a sister Marion Meierdirk of Bangor and a brother Floyd Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado. A brother Colon Smith and a sister Marlene Murray predeceased her. There will be a memorial service on February 17, 2018 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Corinna, Maine. Anyone who knew Marjorie knows how much she loved the furry folks. In lieu of flowers, those who wish are encouraged to donate to Bangor Humane Society.
