Margaret Alice 'Peggy' (Crosson) Sukeforth

July 24, 1926 - February 23, 2017

Bucksport Margaret Alice 'Peggy' (Crosson) Sukeforth, 90, wife of the late Perley Sukeforth Jr., passed away peacefully Thursday, February 23, 2017, with her loving family by her side.
Peggy married Perley on August 1, 1944, and together they raised six children. Most of their life was spent living on Verona Island and then in Bucksport.
Peggy was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with all of them.
She was well known for her many years working at Ben Franklin, Five and Dime and then Treworgy's Store. She belonged to a group called the "Has Beens," all women who worked together for years and became friends.
Peggy is survived by her six children, Linda Engstrom of Dixmont, David Sukeforth Sr. of Verona Island, Sandra (Sandy) and husband Dana Deans of Sartell, MN, John and wife Sharon Sukeforth of Ward, AR, Diane (DeeDee) and husband Donald French Jr. of Bangor, Margaret (Maggie) Gerry of Bucksport, 27 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her loving son-in-law Don Engstrom, loving daughter-in-law Una Sukeforth and four grandchildren, Paul French Jr., Joey French, Nicholas and Nicole Sukeforth.
Special thanks to her loving granddaughter Kym Gerry for the loving care over the past year. At Peggy's request there will be no public calling hours.
