- Marceline Iris 'Marcia' Cook, 86, died on November 28, 2017, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born on February 25, 1931, in Bangor, the daughter of Leona B. (Haley) and Stillman E. Buzzell.
Marcia graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1948. She joined the Hammond Street Congregational Church in 1961. Although Marcia had various positions through her life, while raising her children, her primary roles were that of a homemaker and loving mother. Marcia loved to cook, try new recipes and she became quite well known by family and friends as an exceptional chef. Her deep faith and spirituality was also well known. However, her greatest accomplishment and passion in life was without question her selfless and always generous love, devotion, support and care for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Patricia Ashford, and Marilyn Schubert; brother, Stillman "Bud" Buzzell; and daughter, Sunshine "Cindy" Crate-Batchelder. Surviving are a sister, Marie Walton; brother, Dana Buzzell; nephew, Carroll Fahey; daughter, Ilana McCarthy, her son, Ryan, her husband, Dan and his children, Tara, and Jenna; Marcia's son, David Cook, his wife, Tammy Crosby and David's children, Chelsea, Miranda and Sarah; Sunshine's children, Gabriel, Joshua and Nikayla; many other beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
