NEWBURGH - Malcolm Gamble Burke, infant son of Andrew Tapley and Amanda Gamble Burke, became their guardian angel Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at a Bangor hospital.
Andrew and Amanda are blessed for every moment they had with their precious Malcolm throughout her pregnancy and for the love and joy he brought them, their families and friends. Every minute with our children is a gift not to be taken for granted, and they are and will forever be grateful for the time they had with their sweet boy. We love you Malcolm and pray that our little angel will forever watch over us and protect us. We find comfort knowing that you are in God's loving embrace. XO
Malcolm is survived by his parents; Andrew and Amanda Burke, Newburgh; his paternal grandparents, Bill and Marti Burke, Newburgh; maternal grandparents, Bill Gamble, Hampden and Judy Gamble, Brewer; great-grandmother, Irene Biron, Lewiston; aunt and uncle Christine and Ryan Morrison, Eddington; uncle, Josh Burke, Newburgh; uncle and aunt, Miah and Marie Gamble, Salinas, CA; uncle and aunt, Zach Gamble and Breanna Kelly, Bar Harbor; uncle and aunt, Nate and Kayla Burke, Machiasport; cousins, Will, Sophie and Kate Morrison, Eddington; big sister, Bailey; and Amanda's parents' special friends, Mickey Dolley, Brewer and Sherri Glidden, China. Malcolm will be missed by many other great aunts and uncles, cousins, and family friends. Malcolm was predeceased by his paternal great-grandparents, Frank and Judith Burke and Malcolm and Carolyn Tapley; and his maternal great-grandparents, Elmer and Alberta Gamble and Robert Biron.
Private graveside funeral services for Malcolm will be conducted at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden, with the Reverend Rex Garrett, Director of Chaplaincy Services at EMMC, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Avenue, Hampden.
