Madeline's Story

LUBEC - Madeline (Denbow) Lyons, 88, of Lubec, died Oct. 4, 2014, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Lubec, March 4th, 1926, daughter of John and Cecelia Denbow.

Madeline is survived by her children, Wallace and wife, Raymah Lyons, Steven and wife, dawn Lyons, Opal Dinsmore and Vanita Lyons, one brother, Basil Denbow, one sister, Corinne Lyons, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Madeline was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Farrell Lyons, children Paul, Alfred, and Sandra, 8 sisters, Arlene, Emma, Gussie, Lila, Vivian, Phyllis, Mildred, and Charlotte, and two brothers, Maurice and John.

Madeline loved knitting, crocheting, quilt making, and being an active part of her family's lives. She loved her Church and God. Madeline took comfort in knowing that in the end, she would be with her family again in heaven.

A memorial service for Madeline will be held at the West Lubec Methodist Church on Wednesday, October 8th at 1 p.m. A reception will follow the service. All are welcome to attend. Those who wish to remember Madeline in a special way may make gifts in her memory to her church, the West Lubec Methodist Church.
