LAMOINE - Mabel E. (Rolfe) Moore, died March 17, 2014, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 24, 1939, to Margaret and Allen Role. She grew up in Milbridge with her seven brothers and one sister. She later married the love of her life, Winslow Moore, and moved to Lamoine to raise their five children.
She was a dedicated employee to the Giant Sub in Ellsworth as well as Weight Watchers of Maine. She loved genealogy, spending time with family and friends and relaxing at her camp on Schoodic Pond in Columbia Falls.
Mabel was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, Winslow; daughter, Dodie; and brothers, Steve and Allen Rolfe. She is survived by her children, Deirdre Fennelly and husband, Dick, of Lamoine, Jeff of Lamoine, James of Surry, and Darla McCann and husband, Chris, of Waterboro; six grandchildren, Rick, Nathan, and Amanda Fennelly, Teri Stover, and Ian and Brigham McCann; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Alexis Stover; five brothers; one sister; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and reception will be held in her honor 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at the Faith Bible Fellowship Church, Back Bay Road, Milbridge, with her brother, Pastor Ambrose Rolfe officiating.
