- Lorraine Leeman, 74, slipped peacefully from this life on December 12 at C. A. Dean Memorial Hospital surrounded by loving family. Her only concern in her passing was that everyone she loves is ok.
Throughout her life Lorraine had many jobs forming lifelong friendships with each one. The job she loved most and excelled best at was working for the people of Abbot in many different capacities for nearly 30 years. She took pride in being an active member of the Abbot Historical Society. She enjoyed gardening and reading but her true love and passion was spending time with her family and friends.
Lorraine is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jack of Abbot and her daughters Tammy of Diamond, Mo and Susan and her husband Greg Allen of Dover-Foxcroft. Also surviving are four grandchildren whom she loved so much; Hollie, Rick, Mark and Dakota all of Missouri and 10 great grandchildren with an 11th to be born in the spring. She is also survived by her loving sister Judith and her husband Ronnie Irving of Clinton, her daughter/niece Loretta and her husband Ronnie Norsworthy of Dover-Foxcroft, her sister in-law Dorothy and husband Bill Littlefield of Sangerville, many nieces and nephews and many friends who are very dear.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, parents Elmer (Bud) and Alice E. Bean, a brother Sp5 Elmer (Buddy) Bean, her very special friend Marilyn Burgoyne and her best dog Megan. The family takes great comfort in knowing her reunion with all who passed before her was happy and filled with love.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Abbot Town Hall on Monday Dec. 19. Visitation will be from 1 -5 pm with a memorial service led by Pastor David Ray, Jr. beginning at 5 pm.
