- Linda F. Bednar, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 23, 2016, at Oak Grove Center in Waterville.
She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on February 29, 1940, the only child of the late Glenn and Hildegarde (Johnson) Taylor.
Linda graduated from Academy High School in Erie, class of 1958 and from Erie Business College.
On September 30, 1961, she married Frank W. Bednar.
Linda was very talented with music being a very big part of her life. She was active in the orchestra and chorus during high school and was also a violinist with the Erie Junior Philharmonic. She also loved to sing and dance.
She prided herself on being a good homemaker and mother and was very proud of her five children.
She was predeceased by her significant other, Robert Hersey.
Linda is survived by her children, Michael Bednar and his wife, Debra Corey of Bangor; Susan Paradis and her husband, Jeffrey of Sidney; David Bednar and his wife, Dawn of Ellsworth; Mary Paradis of Sidney; and Christopher Bednar and his significant other, Shannon Cote of Verona Island; her grandchildren, Nate and Dan Paradis, Lindsey and Rachel Paradis, and Mabel Bednar. She is also survived by her husband of 27 years, Frank W. Bednar.
A time of visiting will be from 1 to 2 p.m. with a funeral service to begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Lawry Brothers-Wheeler Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Oakland, with Rev. Bill Meyer officiating.
