BROWNVILLE - Lillian E. McLean, 78, wife of the late Allan R. McLean, passed away February 20, 2015, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. She was born March 10, 1936, in Milo, the daughter of Harry C. and Liona E. (Kennedy) Pray. Lillian was an avid member of the Monday Morning Quilters, Katahdin Senior Citizens, and the Brownville Junction United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling adventures with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bingo, knitting, and spending time with her family and especially with her partner in crime, her "favorite" sister, Cookie.
Lillian is survived by a daughter, Janet McSorley and her husband, Perry, of Brownville Jct.; a sister, Shirley "Cookie" Farrar of Brownville; a brother-in-law, Gerald MacLean and his wife, Mary, of Charlton, MA; two grandchildren, Andrea Green and her husband, Butch, of Sebec, and Travis McSorley and his significant other, Cami High, of Milo; two great-grandsons, Triston Green and Hunter McSorley; and many aunts, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; brother-in-law, Vaughn Farrar; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Annie and Henry Graves. The family extends many thanks to the Critical Care Unit and to Dr. Clough at EMMC, for their outstanding care and compassion.
Friends are invited to call 4-6 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2015, at the Lary Funeral Home, Milo. A funeral service will be conducted 11a.m. Monday, February 23, at the Brownville Jct. United Methodist Church, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Burial in the family lot in Pinetree Cemetery, Brownville Jct., will take place in the spring.
