Lawrence "Bozo" McLean, USFA Lt. Colonel passed away on August 23rd, 2018 with his loving family at his side. He was 88. Larry was born in Millinocket, Maine on December 25th, 1929 to George and Grace McLean. He was one of ten children. The day he was born his sister Hazel said, "What a cute little bozo," and the nickname stuck throughout most of his life.

Larry attended Stearns High School in Millinocket, Maine and after graduation enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1947. He soon met Jessie Delano of Bath, Maine and married in 1950. He retired from the United States Air Force in 1983 with 36 and a half years of service. He spent most of his career as a B-52 Electronic Warfare Officer. He was stationed all over the world including Guam, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Colorado, and California. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling, playing golf, and watching his beloved Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, playing cards; and visiting with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie McLean; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Casey and Dean Casey of Denver, Colorado; son and daughter-in-law, Larry Mclean and Suzanne McLean of Griswold, Connecticut; son and daughter-in-law George McLean and Gaye McLean of Menifee, California: grandchildren, Duane Casey of Portland, Oregon; Katee Casey of Denver, Colorado; Ben McLean and Elizabeth McLean of Orlando, Florida; Ian Wellington Mclean and Hayley McLean of Menifee, California; his sister, Jean Barrick of Folsom, California; his brother-in-law Rueben Moore and sisters-in-law Hisako McLean of Banning, California, Jean McLean Cochran of Millinocket, Maine and numerous nieces and nephews.
