HAMPDEN - Kenneth B. Johnson, 57, died unexpectedly July 21, 2015. He was born July 8, 1958, in Waterville, the son of Winfield and Athabelle (Tibbetts) Johnson.
Ken graduated from Cony High School class of 1976, and later received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maine. He was a medical technologist, working at Dahl-Chase, as well as Eastern Maine Medical Center. Ken loved being outdoors, especially spending time in the woods. He also enjoyed carpentry and playing his guitar.
Ken is survived by his wife of 24 years, Marie; a son, Ryan Johnson and a daughter, Erin Johnson; his father, Winfield Johnson; a sister, Cheryl Johnson and fiance, John; a brother, John Runyon and wife, Angel; a brother, David Runyon and wife, Beth; a special Aunt, Marilyn and Uncle, Everett; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother; his stepmother, Ruth Ann Johnson; and stepfather, Wendell Runyon.
A gathering to celebrate the life of Ken will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
