MILLINOCKET - Kenneth M. Barnett II, 56, of Millinocket, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2015. He was born October 25, 1959 in Millinocket. Kenny graduated from Stearns High School in 1979 and received a warm reception by his classmates.

Kenny was known throughout the community and had a friendly word for everyone he met. He was kind, polite, had many friends, and love to socialize. He also liked to go to football games. Kenny could be seen most times walking and having coffee from Dunkin Donuts or eating at McDonald's. He also enjoyed attending church regularly at the Baptist Church in Millinocket. Kenny also loved living in St. Petersburg, Florida during the winter months and going to the Calvary Temple Church while there.

There is a special family, Fred, Emily, Erica and Mary-Kate Lewis of Lowell, Massachusetts who he loved dearly. Lifelong friends of the Barnett's, Fred had a special bond with Kenny. They were like brothers. They dined out, traveled and did countless activities together. Kenny also had special friends from Florida. Frank, Cathy and Frankie Harriman and Bill and Gloria Simms. .

Kenny is survived by his special sister, Doreen, and husband John (Jack) Picard of Millinocket. Doreen was raised most of her life with Kenny and nobody could have taken better care of him than her and with her extremely supportive husband, Jack. The two of them loved and provided for him like he was their own son. Kenny was their number one priority.

Kenny is pre-deceased by his father Kenneth M. Barnett and mother Eunice (Currie) Barnett of Millinocket; Grandparents Charles and Winifred Barnett of Millinocket; and Richard and Clare Currie of Millinocket. He also had many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A special thank you to all the doctors who took care of Kenny and the caregivers from Community Health and Counseling and Hospice.
