LINCOLN - Keith Conway Emery, 91, passed away March 4,2016, in Lincoln, Maine. He was born on February 1, 1925, in Brewer, son of Perley and Isabel (Cole) Emery.
He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Jeanette (Ledger) Emery, and his sister Hope (Emery) Forbey. He is survived by a daughter Karen Michelle Emery of Lincoln and son Brian Keith Emery and wife Joanne Emery of Medway. He is also survived by grandchildren Alyssa Brooks, Matthew and Isaac Emery and step-grandchildren Elizabeth, Markus and Charles Cummings.
Keith lived most of his life in Lincoln, Maine. He was a WWII veteran having served in the Pacific theatre. Shortly after WWII, before working in the paper mill, he had many different jobs involving wood and coal delivery as well as insulating homes and other jobs. Keith's main occupation for over 40 years was a steam plant engineer at the Lincoln Paper Mill. Keith and Jeanette built their house in Lincoln and raised their family there. Keith enjoyed hunting in his early years and fishing most of his life. He loved to invent and build unusual machines and was always interested in science and space topics. His many stories will be greatly missed.
There will be a viewing at 1p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Friday March 11, 2016 at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, with the Rev Scott Taylor officiating.
