June's Story

MEDWAY - June I. Cox, 90, wife of the late Arnold Cox, passed away December 10, 2015, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born March 13, 1925, in Medway, the daughter of Richard and Lillian (Thompson)Powers. June was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked as a nurse's aide at Millinocket Regional Hospital and was Sunday School Superintendent and taught Sunday School at Calvary Temple Assembly of God in East Millinocket. June enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida.

June is survived by three sons, Toby Cox and Sheryl, of Stockton Springs, Tony Cox and Lynn, of Woodville, and Gregg Cox and Lorna, of Melbourne, Fla.; her longtime companion, Donald Epke and his family; siblings, James Powers, Wayne Powers, Richard Powers, Emma Ireland, Billie Fiske and Coleen Grantham; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and her husband, Arnold, she was predeceased by her daughter, Paula LaBrecque, and several siblings.

Friends may call from 10 am-12 noon Tuesday, December 15, at Calvary Temple Assembly of God where a memorial service will be held at 12 noon, with the Rev. Regginal Adams officiating. Interment will be in Grindstone Road Cemetery, Medway.
