- On April 12, 2017, Joyce Ann Brissette left this world behind as gently and quietly as she had lived upon it.
Joyce was born on December 13, 1943, daughter of Leon H. and Clemencia (Cossette) Cote of Old Town, ME.
Joyce is survived by her two 'darling daughters', Terri Lynn Shaw, of Levant, and Jodi Kim Therrien (husband Paul) of Plymouth, MA; three grand-children, her most precious 'three angel babies', Kim Shaw, Justin Kelleher, and Ethan Kelleher; her beloved siblings Norma Lee Beuter (husband Robert), Raymond Cote, and John Cote; a very special aunt and uncle, Winnie and Bob Shink; several cousins and very dear, close friends.
A graduate of Old Town High School and Lake Erie College in Painesville, OH, Joyce lived a fulfilling life devoted to her family, friends, and recently, Vision Care of Maine, which meant so much more to her than a place of employment.
A Catholic Requiem Mass will be celebrated on April 20, at 11:00 a.m., at St. John's Church, 207 York Street, Bangor. Her family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and light refreshments in the reception room at the church following the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Joyce in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the National Wildlife Federation or the Maine Audubon Society.
