LINNEUS - Joseph H. Rodweller, 77 of Linneus, Maine passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at the home of his daughter with his family at his side. Born in Kingston, NJ, he was a Hamilton resident for many years.
He was a life member of the DeCou Hose Co. and was a past Chief and Fire Commissioner and former special officer with the Hamilton Township Special Police and Mercer County SPCA. Joe was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed a passion for horses.
He was the son of the late William and Minnie (Salzman) Rodweller and brother of the late Elmer, Charles, Leo, and Edward Rodweller, Jean Kennedy and Frances Schumacher.
He is survived by his wife, Roseann (Tomko) Rodweller; his children, Joseph Rodweller and wife, Debra of Linneus, Maine, Robin Underhill and husband, Robert of Browns Mills, NJ, Michael Rodweller and wife, Kim of Hamilton, NJ, Kim Shelter and husband, Jon of Browns Mills, NJ, and SuZann Bubar and husband, Ron of Linneus, Maine; his grandchildren, Christopher, Jesse, Stina, Alex, Ethan, Kathryn, and Emma; his great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Zachary, and Jase. He's also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Kingston and Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton. Private cremation will be at the convenience of the family.
