JUNEAU, ALASKA - Joseph Michael Goodreau, 72, of Juneau, Alaska and Bangor, Maine passed away August 19, 2015.
Joseph was born and grew up in Bangor, Maine. He attended Bangor schools. He served in the US Army and the US Navy. Joe was a free spirit. He had lived and worked in various states including Hawaii. He was know for his happy personality and his ability to make friends easily. He was a creative wood worker and had built many small sailing ships replicating the Viking era.
Joe was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Jacqueline Goodreau of Bangor. He is survived by two daughters, Michelle Frye of Florida and Mellisa Roy of Yarmouth. He is also survived by two grandchildren, both from Florida, one brother Robert Goodreau of Bangor, five sisters. Judith MacPhee of Falmouth, Roberta Sands of Holden, Joan Bedard of Manchester, Jean Rich of Harpswell and Bonita Rogan of Brewer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Joe will be sadly missed by a very dear friend Jodi Plante of Juneau.
Joe's remains will be sent home where he will be laid to rest beside his parents. At Joe's request there will be no services.
