Joseph's Story

PLYMOUTH - Joseph L. Curtis, 94, died at his residence. He was born April 27, 1921, a son of Frank and Martha (Morse) Curtis.

He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and worked at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna for 30 years. He retired from Irving Tannery in Hartland after working there for 17 years.

He is survived by 6 sons, Byron and wife Connie of Dixmont, Gerald and wife Judy of Texas, Merrill and wife Shirley of Etna, Glenn and wife Hazel of Hudson, Joseph of Argyle, Randy and wife Louanne of Maryland; 4 daughters, Joyce and husband Bill Gallagher and Janice Curtis, all of Corinna, Judy and husband Hollis Noyes of Etna, and Jeanette Curtis of Corinth; a brother Ernest Curtis of Stetson; 26 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Linnie and a son Robert.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A. M. Wednesday, December 9th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with Pastor Al Worden officiating. Burial will be in Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth. Those who wish may leave written condolences at www.CrosbyNeal.com
