CARMEL - John Stockbridge, 41, went to be with the Lord June 11, 2016 at his residence. He was born July 23, 1974 in Waterville, a son of John and Jane (Otis) Stockbridge, Sr.
John graduated from Maine Central Institute and received 2 Associates Degrees from Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor. He owned and operated EC Cycles in Palmyra for over 16 years. Although known as a hard worker, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. John was a wonderful husband, devoted father and enjoyed spending time with his extended family. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Newport.
John is survived by his wife of 11 years, Shawna (Bowers) Stockbridge; 2 sons, John E. and Jackson E.; 2 sisters, Jill and husband Wayne Miller, Dori and husband Rodney Bane; 3 foster brothers, Terry Lee and wife Kathy Kennedy, Andy and Brian Kennedy; his foster parents, Terry and Maggie Kennedy; and his mother and father-in-law, Clayton and Suzan Bowers.
A celebration of his life will begin at 11 A.M. Friday, June 17th at the family home, 178 Cook Road, Carmel, with Pastor Keith Hamel conducting a time of remembrance. A pot luck supper will follow.
