John "Johnny"'s Story
- Merrimack, N.H. - John M. Johnny Barnes, 54, died suddenly of a long term illness on November 11, 2016. He finally found peace and went home to be with his dad John, mom Barbara, sister Wendy and niece Wendy. He is survived by his niece Alicia Henderson and nephew Michael Henderson (Wendy's beloved children), aunts and uncle: Stella Clement, Vickie and Roger Richards, and several cousins.
Johnny was employed for the last 8 years with Silver Chariot Car Services, owners Dave and Rita McCray and Dan and Julie Dwyer whom loved him like family, as did his clients.
His life was filled with tragedy most couldnt comprehend, but was enriched the last 9 years by the Twardosky family. Johnny was loved, cared for and lived with his cousin Jennifer Twardosky (Rosebush) of Merrimack, N.H., her husband Eric and their children Tyler, Tucker, Zachariah and Theresa; dogs Holly and Lulu that he fed TOO MUCH!
He loved watching sports with Jennifer and Erics kids, spending endless hours sharing his infinite knowledge of all the teams and stats. He was a dedicated Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and Patriot's fan. He truly enjoyed every minute laughing and loving the Twardosky kids and the dogs. He was more of a brother than cousin to Jennifer, Karen Ray of Amherst N.H., and Lisa Miller of Chattanooga, TN. His soul was kind, gentle and generous; he will be missed, although we know he is where he wanted to be.
A graveside service will be held December 3, 2016 at 11am at Riverside Cemetery with Pastor Steve Smith. In lieu of flowers/gifts, please make monetary donations to niece Alicia Henderson and her daughters on Youcaring.com/johnnybarnesmemorial
