BANGOR - John L. Clark (JC) passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 with family by his side after an extended illness. Born on August 24, 1941 to Ervin V. Clark and Susie (Johnson) Clark.

Upon graduating from Schenck High School in 1961 he enlisted in the U. S. Army serving 8 years. In 1962 he married his soul mate Blanche (McTague) Clark. He then went on to work as an automotive salesman for Sears and Roebuck. In 2001 he retired to a life of golfing, bowling, traveling, gardening and spending quality time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Blanche (McTague) Clark; daughter, Debbie (Clark) Martin and husband Bob of Bangor; son, Don Clark and wife Lyn of Old Town; sister, Helen (Clark) McReavy of Howland; half sister, Rosalee (Clark) Quinn and husband Allan of Hudson; sister-in-law, Beth Clark of Millinocket; brother-in-law, Kenneth Jarvis of Dedham; grandson, Richard Clark (USAF) and wife Tara of Las Vegas; grandson, Josh Bragdon of Madison; grandson, Jeff Bragdon and wife Felicia of Belgrade; granddaughter, Nicole Ford of New Hampshire; granddaughter, Monica Clark; special great granddaughter, Alexis Maguire; special great grandson, Mason Davis; 4 other great grandsons and several nieces and nephews; one special friend, Joseph (Larry) Payeur and wife Lorna of Bangor.

He was predeceased by both parents; brothers, Leroy Clark and Jim Clark; sister, Suzanne (Clark) Jarvis.

He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

The family would like to express a thank you to Hospice Care of Eastern Maine and Cancer Care of Eastern Maine.

There will be no services. Burial will be at Central Cemetery in Dedham. A "Celebration of Life" will be at a later date.
