- Mrs. Joanne (Albee) Priest, of Guilford, Maine, born on November 14, 1930 in Newport, Maine to Kenneth and Mollie Albee, passed away peacefully at age 87 on February 19, 2018 after a short illness surrounded by her loved ones at home.
In her younger days she was the proud owner of Jo's Riverview Restaurant and later, a thriving hardware store in Monson, Maine. She was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church and an avid volunteer in her community and at Mayo Regional Hospital. Joanne was also proud of her many years working with Penquis CAP and Family Planning and in her later years, as a member of Pine Tree Hospice. Joanne loved to spend time at her summer home on Whetstone Pond and was always up for a game of cards with family or friends. She was an avid quilt maker and never tired of watching Bob Ross paint a happy little tree.
Joanne was married to the late Lawrence Rollins, Roland Gourley and Peter Priest. She was mother to the late Chuck Rollins, mother-in-law to the late Michael McKenney, and is survived by her sister Jeanne Bumpus, her daughter Christine McKenney, son Randy Rollins and his fiancee, Patti Garnett, son Rusty Rollins, daughter Jeannie and son-in-law, Mickey Knowles, and daughter Joannie and son-in-law, Craig Pulkkenin. Joanne also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren who she loved dearly. She is absolutely thrilled to be reunited with her beautiful granddaughter, Tiffany Knowles.
On behalf of the family and Joanne's wishes, please join us in celebrating a life well lived, held at the United Methodist Church in Guilford, Maine on Saturday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m.
