Jeffrey Alan Drinkwater

November 16, 1953 - October 06, 2018

Guilford Jeffrey Alan Drinkwater, 64, died October 6, 2018 at his residence. He was born November 16, 1953 in Dover-Foxcroft, a son of Burton and Kay (Wiley) Drinkwater. Jeffrey was a loving father and son. He grew up and raised his family in Guilford. He was first and foremost a caring, devoted father who loved his children more than anything. He believed in instilling in them a strong work ethic, good morals, and a positive outlook on life which is how he lived. Jeffrey served in the U. S. Navy and Merchant Marines for many years before starting his career at the Guilford-Sangerville Water District. He used to joke, "No one knows water like a Drinkwater." He thoroughly enjoyed his work.
He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing with his son, and time spent at camp with family and friends.
He is survived by a son, Lucas B. Drinkwater; a daughter, Katarina A. Drinkwater; his mother, Kay Drinkwater; a brother, Scott Drinkwater, and sister Linda Drinkwater.
"We are but a speck of dust on the nose hair of a giant" by J. Drinkwater.
Private arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter. Those who wish may leave written condolences at www.CrosbyNeal.com.

We just learned of Jeff's passing. We are so sorry to hear. We waved to him most every day as he passed our home, some times he would stop and would ask about my garden. We will miss him

I’m so sorry for your loss. Death stings very much. It’s one of the hardest thing to cope with. May the “God of all comfort” gives you strength and peace of mind in this time of difficulties. - 2 Corinthians 1:3,4. JW.org
