Jeffery's Story

Text size

Old Town - Jeffery Alan Sibley, 55, passed away peacefully November 11, 2016, surrounded by his wife and loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeff was born in Bangor, March 20, 1961, the son of Benjamin and Carol (Muncey) Sibley.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Jeff worked in the construction field all his life as a heavy equipment operator, and was a master at all of them. He could often be found working in his yard with his own backhoe which he greatly enjoyed.
He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to fish, and hunt; a very skilled man with bow and arrow and enjoyed spending warm, sunny days with his wife on the lake in their boat. He also took great pride in his garden and cooking with his fresh vegetables. He was well known for his homemade spaghetti and meatball sauce which was passed down from his mother, and the secret remains unknown.
Jeff believed in working hard, and then playing just as hard as you work. He rose with the sun, and set with the moon.
He loved life, and especially loved spending time with his family. He was so proud of his kids and being "Papa" to his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by his family, and so, so many close friends as well as his best friend "Butchy Boy" Karam.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 37 years, Victoria; son, Jason; daughter, Angela and her significant other, Eddie; grandchildren, Brianna, Jacob, Cody, Gabriel; brothers, Gary and wife, MaryAnne and their children, Brandy and Gary; Jimmy and wife, Robin and their children, Reagan and Josh; sister, Lisa and husband, Eddie and their children, Ryan, Brittanie, and Chyna; all of whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was predeceased by his brother, Terry Sibley.
The family invites all to share in a celebration in Jeff's honor, 2-4 p.m., Saturday, November 19th, 2016, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main Street, Old Town, following the family invites friends to celebrate in memory of Jeff at his sister Lisa's house, 31 Benjamin Drive, Old Town ME, 04468.
