- Jeanne Dunham Hatt from Lakeland, FL, previously from Bangor, ME and Boynton Beach, FL, gracefully left this world Tuesday, October 25, surrounded by loving family and friends after a long battle with Dimentia. She was 85 years old. Jeanne was born December 20, 1930 to Kenneth and Eleanor Dunham of Brewer, Maine. She graduated as valedictorian from Brewer High School in 1949. She also attended Husson College. She held several jobs including work with Westinghouse, Gass Office Supply, Rappaport Auto, The Counselling Center, and Asa Adams School. She was a life-time member of the Order of Eastern Star and absolutely adored her Eastern Star family. She married the love of her life, Carroll David Hatt, on July 30, 1950 and recently celebrated 66 years of marriage. Jeanne was an avid crafter. She loved to laugh and to be with family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Robert and William Dunham, her daughter Theresa (Terri) Hatt and her grandson David Michael Howard. She is survived by her adoring husband; son David Hatt of Lakeland, FL; daughters Wendy Howard of Lakeland, FL, Joanna Dalton of Ludlow, MA and Aimee Hatt of Bangor ME; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and treasured friends. The family would like to ackowledge VITAS Healthcare for providing loving care over the last year, going above and beyond on several occasions. A Celebration of Life will be held in Maine during the summer of 2017. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to be made to VITAS Healthcare.
