Lincoln - Jane E. York, 66, wife of Lou York, passed away April 11, 2017, at her home. She was born March 9, 1951, in Lincoln, the daughter of Leeman and Blanche (Lowell) Bowers.
Jane worked as a teller at Bangor Savings Bank for many years. She was a very active communicant of St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
In addition to her husband, Lou, she is survived by two children, Abby and Andy Edwards and their children Lilly and Tanner, and Todd Chessie and his significant other Jessie Sutherland and their daughters Laken Chessie and Myka Wotton; a sister Frances "Sissie" Clay and Richard; two nieces Julie Clay and Heidi OcaƱa; a nephew John Clay; several cousins.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Apr. 13, 2017, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Apr. 14, 2017, with the Rev Richard Malo officiating. A reception will follow at St. Mary's Church. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the building fund at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, P.O. Box 310, Lincoln, ME 04457.
