- Jane (Gallagher) Call, 74, passed away at home December 3, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born December, 9, 1941, in Millbury, MA, to John and Eunice (Moffit) Gallagher, II.
She graduated from Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1959, and belonged to the Alumni Association for many years. Jane was also a member of the Sebasticook Valley Snowmobile Club. She worked many jobs prior to settling into a passionate career with Penquis Family Planning in Dexter, retiring after 37 years. She was loved by all who came through the doors.
Jane's family was her world. Her loving care of her family, friends and others was unwavering. She was selfless and kind to all who knew her and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Phillip E. Call; son, David and wife, Joanna; daughter, Karen Tunks; 6 grandchildren, Whitney and Devin Call, Jessica and Katie Tunks, and Allison and Kyle Pluard; and 2 great-grandchildren, Payton Pluard and Jackson Proudfoot.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 9, at the Exeter Town Office and Community Center (Exeter school). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests honoring Jane's memory and kindness by reaching out to others with a kind word or gesture or by donating to a charity of one's choice.
