Margie and family, our deepest sympathies. He was a great guy! I (Marylu) remember taking my class to Jim's office, the court house, and the jail! What a field trip for those children! One said,"Mr. Goodman, why do I need to learn math?" Jim's reply? " To know how to count your money, of course!'
Rest in peace, Jim!

I've known Jim and his family for more than 50 years. I have so many fond memories of holiday dinners and parties at my uncles house and out at our camp on pushaw Lake.
He was on the most intelligent and witty people I've ever known in my life. Here's a friend but he was more than that he was a true inspiration in my life and career. I once told him I wanted to be a police officer and given that he was a successful attorney I thought he would suggest picking a more lofty goal. he said you have to do in life what makes you happy that's the only way you can make a real career. He suggested I go to college just to keep my options open and I did. He left his private practice became a very wel
...l-respected public servant which was also an inspiration to me. I became a police officer but because I went to college I became a federal agent. I had my dream career with NCIS for almost 30 years and that might not have happened without his guidance and inspiration. My heartfelt condolences to his family . He'll be sadly missed by me my family, and everyone whose lives he touched.

It was an honor to know Judge Goodman. He was a fine man, attorney and family man. The last time I saw The Judge was when he presided over a hearing in which I represented a creditor bank as an officer.
My sincere regrets to his family and friends. I’m sure he rests knowing his blessings on Earth and beyond.
