- It is with great sadness that the family of James Willard Bartlett announces his sudden passing on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the age of 67 years.
A proud native of Bangor, Jim graduated from the University of Maine in 1972. He worked for the State of Maine as a dairy inspector for 42 years before retiring in Dexter, where he enjoyed life with his family on the lake. Jim proudly served as a volunteer fire fighter on the Pittsfield Fire Department for over 15 years.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Diane; and his children, Daniel (Susan) and Joseph (Gail), James (Teri) and Matthew (Stacey). He will also be fondly remembered by his seven grandchildren: Shauna, Moriah, AJ, Jonathan, Emelyn, Madalyn and Chamberlain; by his brother, Robert of Ft Myers FL; and his brother-in-law, Edward Coombs of Providence, RI. Jim was predeceased by his sister, Barbara; and his parents, Willard and Ana-Betty.
The family will hold a graveside remembrance in the spring.
