- Jacqueline Jean Cote Flood, 75, wife of Verne Flood, died April 19, 2017, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. Jacqi was born in 1941, in Bangor, the daughter of Clement Cote and Martha Martin Cote.
Jacqi, who graduated from Old Town High School in 1959, was proud of her perfect attendance throughout high school and most of grammar school. She was a blood donor for many years and rarely missed a chance to give blood before 2013. She was a Girl Scout Mother and a charter Member of the Bangor Area Sewing Guild, and served as President of the Veazie Garden Club for a number of years. Jacqi's sense of humor and quick wit will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. She was an inspired cook who was always looking for a new recipe. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. She was also a music enthusiast, a life-long learner, and an avid protector of the earth and lover of all God's creatures.
In addition to her loving husband of 53 years, she is survived by daughter, Shannon Flood and husband, Rick Doyle; by daughter, Suzanne Flood and grandson, Robinson Doyle; by uncle, Al Cote; by her dear friend, Betty Gagnon of Rhode Island and Florida; and by many other friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Timothy Cote.
A graveside service and committal will be held at a date to be determined in the summer.
