ST. JOHN AND ST. FRANCIS - Irene Ann (Pelletier) Jandreau died Friday, May 20, 2016, at the age of 65 in Bangor, surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with COPD and heart related complications. Irene was born in Allagash on August 23, 1950, to Clifford and Mary (Jackson) Pelletier, where she lived and attended school.

In 1967 she met the love of her life and her best friend, Docite (Junior) Jandreau III of St. Francis. They married on January 13, 1968, at St. Charles Catholic Church in St. Francis. During their life together they lived in Oakland, Mars Hill, and finally settled in St. John. She lived strong in her Catholic faith, always turning toward her religious beliefs and rosary for guidance throughout her entire life. She always said she put life in God's hands and allowed him to guide her through every event she encountered in life, sharing her Catholic faith with her family, bringing and keeping them together. Irene was a hard worker, and great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She always put everyone else before herself, and always expressed the joy she felt every time she could help someone. She always felt that her greatest gifts in life came from giving and often shared those feelings with her family.

Irene is survived by her husband of 49 years, Docite (Junior) Jandreau III of St. John; her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Todd Willey and their children, Taylor and Benjamin Willey, of Presque Isle; her son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Sharon Jandreau, and their children, Lance and Brooke Jandreau of Fort Kent; brothers, Ronnie Pelletier of Allagash, Stanley and wife, Myra Pelletier, and Brent Pelletier of St. Francis; and sisters, Anita Graham of Houlton, Theresa and husband, Brian Barstow, of California, Lona McBreairty, Mary and husband, Earl Kelly, of Allagash and Verley Hafford of Danforth. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Iona Tracy; and brothers, Cedric, Nazaire (Vaughn) and Wesley Pelletier.
