MILFORD - Harriet P. Lugdon passed away Aug. 1, 2015, at EMMC with her family by her side. She was born July 8, 1934, in Macwahoc, the daughter of Carl and Ida Parks.

Harriet graduated from Old Town High School in 1952. She worked at Dr. Lewis S. Libby School in Milford as a cook for many years. She was a member of Milford Congregational Church; she loved to make custard pies for their bean suppers. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, not only to her children and grandchildren, but to many children in Milford. Harriet loved to play cards, go camping, cooking and canning.

Harriet was predeceased by her parents; sister, Vera Ambrose, who she missed dearly; and a special family member, Dennis Gideon. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, M. Royce Lugdon; and children, Jackie and Kevin Tesseo of Orrington, Carlene Lugdon, Royce Lugdon of Milford, and Lynn Lugdon and Peter O'Leary of Hudson. She will be greatly missed by her grandsons, Ron Banks, Ryan Tesseo "Grammie's Ry" and Ethan O'Leary; and will also be missed by her very dear friends, Jan Welch and Freeman Cunningham; and her nieces, nephews, cousins and uncle. Harriet will be greatly missed by her very special neighbors, Dana and Kathy Carson and family, who she loved to bake for.

Harriet's family expresses their heartfelt thanks to EMMC's CCU RNs, especially Dave and Steve, for their wonderful care for our mom.

At her request, there will be no service. Those who wish to remember Harriet, please make a donation in her memory to the American Heart Association or the Old Town Animal Orphanage.
