This Was No Ordinary Life. This Was A Life Well-Lived And Well-Loved, A Life That Will Be Deeply Missed.
- Harold Lamont Dwelley, known to most by Hermie, died January 12, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Milo. He was born January 28, 1949, in Milo, the son of Oliver and Elizabeth (Dickson) Dwelley.
Hermie was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a friend to so many.
Hermie worked 35 plus years for Dexter Shoe Company in Milo and Dexter until their closure in 2001. He then worked for Exxon for a few years until he was unable to work because of his COPD. Through the years he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing softball, and bowling. He was an avid lover of all things related to sports and was very passionate about his teams.
Hermie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Wanda (Chase) Dwelley of Milo; two daughters, Lisa Dwelley of Cumberland, MD, and Amy Dwelley of Milo; two grandsons, Devin and Terrell Dwelley of Milo; one sister, Jennie Mae (Dwelley) and her husband Gerald Kirby of Dexter; one neice, Michelle (Kirby) Tolman of Pittsfield; and one nephew, Gerald Kirby Jr. or Dexter.
The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice for their compassion and care during the end of his illness and to allow him to end his days in peace at home.
Respecting Hermie's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
